Play- Birth-6mo

0 - 3 months is all about stimulating their senses and helping them feel safe and loved. Here are some ideas:

Music

  1. Lullabies: Singing soft lullabies can soothe and bond with the baby.

  2. Classical Music: Play gentle classical music to calm the baby and promote brain development.

  3. Musical Toys: Use toys that produce soft sounds or melodies when shaken or squeezed.

  4. Reading: Make reading a daily routine!

Play

  1. Tummy Time: Lay the baby on their tummy for short periods to strengthen their neck and shoulder muscles.

  2. Face Time: Make eye contact and mimic facial expressions to encourage social interaction.

  3. Peek-a-Boo: Play simple peek-a-boo games to entertain and engage.

Activities

  1. Gentle Massage: Massage the baby’s arms, legs, and back to promote bonding and relaxation.

  2. Story Time: Read simple, high-contrast books to introduce them to sounds and rhythms of language.

  3. Visual Stimulation: Show them black and white patterns or colorful, contrasting toys to stimulate their vision.

These activities not only entertain but also contribute to the baby’s cognitive and physical development.
